(HelpVersion: 1.00) vm-Studio -> Function -> Data control

Each area within a myth software is usually built the same. The respective software consists of a large number of these modules. As an example, the modules: Cashbook or Fuel in the vm-Studio section. There you will find a display and input area for the data in the upper half. Below is the table and below the control of the data.
The data is independent or dependent on the module. In the area of cashbook we find independent data. Here you always see (apart from evaluation and filtering) all datasets belonging to this module. Modules such as the Fueling section contain dependent records. Here you do not see all the data stored in the database. You only ever see the datasets belonging to the currently active master in this module. In the area of Vehicle Management Studio, the vehicle is always the master in this case. So you see in the area Refueling, Maintenance, Insurance and the other modules only the data records that belong to the currently active vehicle. If you change the active vehicle, the data records in the currently active module also change. You can change the active vehicle in the Vehicle area. However, this does not make sense if you just want to enter data in the fuel area. Therefore, use the Vehicle Control to change the vehicle
You can change the current dataset using the table or the arrows below the table. (Screenshot # 1: Number: 2) To create a new record, use the button of the same name below the table. If you want to edit an existing record, simply change the entries in the input area and then confirm the changes. In Settings, you can decide whether to confirm a confirmation before deleting records. Creating, editing and deleting records can only be done with the appropriate roles when the User module is enabled.

Table

The table shows you all currently active data records of the module. (Screenshot # 1: Number: 1) You can use the table to switch between records. However, no data can be edited directly in the table. To edit, select a record and make the changes in the upper fields. When you create a new record, the table is displayed blank for this period. To save the attachment or changes, click on the appropriate switch below the table. (Screenshot#1: Number:2)

Sorting

You can sort the table. To do this, click in the header of a column. The table is now sorted by this column. Click again to reverse the order of sorting. In the bar you will receive a message. Sorting always refers to the visible data. If the table has already been filtered or evaluated, this information is sorted.

Filtering

Above the table is the area of the filtering (Screenshot # 1: Number: 3) Depending on the module you have different possibilities to choose from. Filtering is a dropdown field. As soon as you click on the field you will get a number of options to choose from. These options correspond to the stored Templates for this field. Once you make a selection, the data is filtered. Please note: The filtering always takes place on the current table. If this has already been restricted by a search or evaluation, the filtering refers to this restriction. The bar now informs you that the data is filtered and you do not see the full database.

Standard

Clicking on the "Standard" button cancels all sorting, searching, evaluations and filtering. The complete data will be displayed again. (Screenshot # 1: Number: 4) In the bar you will receive a message indicating that the visible data is in standard mode.
